Clumsy, Wandering, Girl « Thread Started on Mar 18, 2008, 4:41pm »
A young girl with short blond hair nearly trips straight into the waters of the Sea as she rushes along the edge of the port. She had meant to go somewhere totally different, so how had she ended up here? Slowing down to a complete stop, the girl, Atoli, takes deep breaths, exhausted from all the running she had done that day. Straightening herself up straight, she looked out at the horizon and watched a group of water Pokemon, not visible from where she stood, leaping out of the water on the horizon. It was so pretty, it made her just want to leap into the sea and go play with them but...she couldn't swim, so that could be a problem. Atoli sighed as she started to move forward along the dock, wishing she had some sort of flying Pokemon as her companion to help her out. Suddenly, with clumsiness taking over, Atoli stepped forward and tripped over her own feet, falling head first onto the deck. "Ow..." Atoli whimpered painfully as she lay on the side of the deck, holding her twisted ankle with both hands.

The fog was thick, making it impossible to see more than a couple of feet ahead. The slosh of waves hitting the dock could be heard, but other than that and the noises Atoli had made herself, the entire place was silent. At one point, a light was visible in the sky, perhaps the moon, or a plane overhead. But, soon, even the mysterious light had disappeared into the fog.
Then, footsteps. They could hardly be heard at first. Whatever it was, was far off at the moment.

Atoli looked up in surprise when she heard the footsteps, quickly getting to her feet, but favoring her now twisted ankle. "Hello?" She called out through the fog. "Who's there?"

The footsteps continued, each one getting closer, though none answered the girl's question. Soon, the pokemon was visible, though only a shadow of it. It was immense. A long horn-like structure pertruded from its head. It stopped, raised its nose to the air, sensing the human in front of it. The pokemon took a couple of tentative steps forwards, revealing itself to the girl. Absol seemed to stare right through her with pink glazed eyes.
[Long time since I posted...busy...busy...lies...maybe...Okay I'm posting now]
Atoli almost fell backwards when she saw the Absol staring at her. The gaze so ghastly it seemed to stare right through her. Getting down to her knees she spoke softly, her gaze straining to see through the thick fog. "um...you're a...Absol right? Hello! What are you doing here?" Her voice was soft, quiet, she was a little petrified by it's immense size, but she felt no danger being around this creature.
The Absol continued its glare, as if ignoring her question. <I live here.> The response was sudden, the sound piercing the mist. The Absol moved closer to the girl, still staying a short distance away. The pokemon yawned, as if bored. <The better question is what are you doing here,> it added, continuing its gaze.
The blond haired girl got back up to her feet as she chuckled. From the look on the Absols face she guessed that it was probably asking her what she was doing here. Must seem strange for a young teenage girl to be caught up in this fog. "Well...you see...I'm a little lost." She laughed again as she twined her blond hair around her index finger.
OoC:// Don't forget that humans can understand poke speak here. It's one of Dementia Sea's many mysteries. Unless you want her to be oblivious. Just making sure you're aware.
BiC:// The Absol seemed to take another long moment to just gaze at her. It might have looked like it was thinking, though there was honestly nothing going on in its head. <How interesting...> he commented, though it was fairly obvious the Absol could care less. <I used to get lost here,> it added, seeming to be mindlessly babbling. <But not anymore.> It yawned again, continuing its gaze, something it seemed to like to do.
[ooc=Okay, I didn't know, I'll have to remember XD]
Atoli looked straight into eyes of the Absol as it spoke calmly towards her. Her eyes lit up when it commented that it didn't get lost anymore. "That's great! Then could you please help me find my way out?" She was starting to get a little scared by all this fog surrounding her and she had a strange nagging feeling that she was going to fall into the ocean soon.
The Absol looked at her with an surprised look on his face. <Out? There is no out. Only forward. I've never bothered exploring anywhere besides this dock...> The Absol could never have been bothered to jump into the water. He started walking toward Atoli, and, as he got closer, it could be seen that it's fur was a light blue color. <I guess I'll explore ahead with you... If you want,> he added, gazing at her once more.
