Just before her stood a largely tall tower, mostly broken from this and that part. Jinaah stepped into the tall grass that seemed to cover the whole front yard. Old trees stood there, staring into space. Grumbling stomach broke the silence.
"I knew I should have gone to that restraunt," the 17-year-old girl exclaimed. The one reason she didn't want to go was because she hated getting that much attention, mostly thanks for her light blue wings.
As she walked across the green yard, Jinaah noted the door being closed. Carefully, step by step, she went up the stairs, lifted her hand and gave three loud knocks, waiting what would happen next.

The door swung open quietly, and an arm shot out to grab Jinaah's shoulder.
" 'Allo poppet!" a croaky voice whispered, and slowly a very freaky-looking old man with an eyepatch on appeared from the darkness inside. "Ye'll be 'ere lookin' for tha mysterious treasure, then?" he added with a leer. "Well ye'd best be comin' inside!"
He yanked on the girl's shoulder and pulled her into a room that looked ... just like a cave. Even down to the water dripping from the ceiling, it looked just like the inside of a cliffside cave, filled with varying water Pokemon, all carting obscure objects backwards and forwards.
"Ye willin' tae 'elp us out on our little venture, missy?" the piratical man asked, his gnarled hands on his hips. "Ye brave enough to join up with tha Black Blastoise an' 'er crew?"

Startled by the sudden piratical man, Jinaah jumped off the ground a few inches. She sure hadn't expected nothing like this. Quickly, but silently she was shoved inside, which seemed to be like a cave, surrounded by water-types.
Answering the man's first question, "No, I'm just here to, ummm... explore..." Her voice had a touch of nervousness, which the man seemed to notice. Quickly after that, she completed her sentence, "Nah, no thank you. I'm just traveling and I get sea sick easily." Remembering she had wings on her back, she tried to make them as small as possible, to avoid too much of a comotion(sp?).

<Aye, Cap'n, this 'un don't look like our type. 'Er wings'd be a mighty big 'andicap on the stormy seas, y'know.> an overlarge Dratini said, sliding over to the Captain and Jinaah. There was a black bandana tied across one of his eyes and he looked rather silly.
"Aye, that be a good observation, Bo'sun Drago. Arr. Ye be free tae go, poppet, under one condition. Ye must answer me this; Wha-?"
The pirate was cut off by a petulant male voice that seemed to come from nowhere.
<Shut up! You aren't allowed to give people riddles, that's my job!>
All the water Pokemon squealed in fright, dropping the crates they were carrying and scampering away.
"Arrr! 'Tis the Guardian, so 'tis! Run, ye yellow-bellied curs, run fer the ship!" the Captain yelled, letting go of Jinaah. "Ye'd best be runnin' yerself, little lassie. An escape will be appearin' soon, don't ya worry your little head about tha'." he added with a hint of kindness in his voice.
Soon Jinaah was alone in the cave. Or was she? There was a strange sound, like someone was crying ... but there was no one in sight.
However there was a pretty glowing stone on the ground near a broken crate. Glowing bright red in the darkness of the cave ...

For Jinaah's relief, the pirate and his crew were gone. She then heard a sound.... was it someone crying? From the corner of her blue eyes she noted something glowing in the the ground. Could it be a evolution stone of some kind. She doubted it.
She had no Pokemon, so she had to be careful in this place, no matter how interesting it might look. As she edged towards the crate dropped by one of the crew members, keeping a suspecious eye on things when she took the steps at it. When she got close enough to look inside, her wings folded right against her sides.

There was a high-pitched squeaking noise, and within the darkness of the crate something drew back. All that was visible was a pair of amber-coloured eyes, staring out at the girl in fright.
After a little while of this staring, the creature stuck out a brown-and-white muzzle, sniffing the air curiously. Eventually he decided that Jinaah posed no threat and he revealed himself for what he was - a little Zigzagoon, his tail twitching nervously.
<You friendly?> he asked, sniffing at Jinaah's feet. <You /smell/ friendly.> he said, but he seemed reluctant to believe his nose. <You not a pirate?>

Jinaah stared at the small Pokemon, wondering if it would attack or make fun of her. She had had bad experiences in the past of wild Pokemon chasing her out of their territory, just because she was a Pokemorph. As the Zigzagoon came out and sniffed at her, asking if she was friendly, Jinaah replied, "Of course I'm friendly. Wild Pokemon are usually the ones not being friendly to me."
Her blue wings glittered in the faint light, as they pressed against her sides.

<Hehe ... you funny!> The Zigzagoon sat quite happily at Jinaah's feet. his little nose twitching every now and then. <Other Pokemon no like you? Why that?>
Judging from his manner and odd speech patterns, this Pokemon wasn't very old, which could explain his lack of prejudice towards Jinaah for being a Pokemorph.

Jinaah kneeled down to pet the cute Pokemon with a great smile. She always thought of Zigzagoons and Linoones as great Pokemon. Her face turned half sad when the Zigzagoon asked her the question.
"The other Pokemon don't like me because, they probably think I am a Pokemon trying to invade their territory. But you shouldn't worry about that. You have a safe place to be," she said, a moment later regretting to say it as Jinaah looked arond the dark room.

A door suddenly appeared on Jinaah's left side. It was tall, thin, and a lime green color. From the other side of the room, where another door had appeared, the pirates' voices could be heard, followed by footsteps. "'ere's a poppet in dere." The door squeaked as it openned.

Jinaah smiled at the young Zigzagoon, trying to make out what it was saying. Something about it's nmae being Barry and not liking berries.
"Yeah, erm... I like fruit," she said nervously, moments before two doors appeared. From her left side, she could hear the familiar voice of that pirate from before. Jinaah stood up, shifting gazes from left to right, trying to decide which door she should take. She really didn't want to meet up with the pirate again, so Jinaah glanced at the Zigzagoon, before taking a single step to the opposite door, where no sound came.

"Ey! Whatchu doin' poppet?" the Captain asked as he entered the room.
The hole from the door vibrated, beckoning the girl inward.
